Pemra Suspended Geo News, Geo Taiz & Geo Entertainment Licences (Video)

Breaking news PEMRA (Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority) finally took action against Geo after receiving more than 10,000 complaints against Geo Tv's morning show Utho jago Pakistan where allegedly blasphemous content onaired and hurt religious sentiments. Previously PEMRA also issued a showcause notice to Geo regarding alleged content.

The PEMRA authority announced that it has suspended Geo News, Geo Entertainment and Geo Tez’s licenses till 28 May 2014. Express News reported. Moreover it is said that once the recommendations come back, a special committee will be formed to make a final decision regarding Geo TV’s licenses.
