The story revolves around the financial issues and crises of a middle class family after the death of their elder son in an accident. Due to these problems the wedding of the younger sister( Shabnam ) stopped with the cousion ( Yousaf ) for the time. 

Then she decided to support the family and requested her fiancee to pospond the wedding , she wanted to do something for the family but her fiance's Yousaf ego gets stuck. he suddenly become stubberness and refuse to support neelam. 

All this condition take a U turn in a manner in which yousaf agreed to marry Neelam's younger sister Shabnam.

The family goes into a hovac after this. The two sisters who love and care each other becomes rivals. Shabnam who loves her elder sister Neelam started to ignore her due to forced marriage. This ignores convert into extreme hatered. When Shabnam's husband yousaf clearly told her on the first night of their marriage that he is not interested in Shabnam , he only got married with her just to take revenge from Neelam and torture her. 

Actually he still loves Neelam's and wants to get her back in his life at any condition and cost. This is the real purpose of yousaf's life.
